Daily Sojournings

I don’t have anything. I can’t boast of anything I’ve done or achieved. They all are things that just fly away. Vain things that vanish in the air. They’re here today and gone tomorrow. I have nothing. I don’t own anything.

I don’t own this life. You died on the Cross for me to live. It’s not for me that I live. It’s for You now.

But I have my heart. A heart that’s weak and vulnerable. But that’s all I have. This is everything I am and I’ve got.

I want to give it to You. My whole heart and everything within. I offer it to You as a sacrifice. For everything that You have done for me. For all the things that You have given me. The everlasting joy and perfect peace, fruits of Your boundless grace. Because You are a God who keeps me in the shadow of Your wings, I will give my heart to You.

Take my heart. Take it with You in Your dwelling place. Where it can find rest and joy in Your presence forevermore. My whole heart is Yours. My whole life is Yours.
