And Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes so he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. – 2 Kings 6:17

I was looking and looking and then I found Him. When I look at the clouds, the works of His hands display His glory. How majestic is our God? How awesome is He? When I watch the stars and the moon dance around in perfect beat, when I hear the winds sing in the most beautiful melody. How great is our God? How awesome is He? Maker of all things and all creation.

I felt like I was alone. Like the world has gone away without me. Like I was left in an infinite loop with no one beside me.

But when I looked to the heavens and see the beauty of His creations, when I remember His mighty works and how He has always been faithful, never leaving those who love Him, I felt at peace.

The heavens are a big place and there are thousands of angels looking down from there. He is all around me. I turned around and around but I still can’t escape His beauty.

How foolish I am to think that I am alone. No! I am not. For He is with me. When I sing to His name, His angels join in rejoicing. The heavens, together with me, declare His greatness.

No! I am not alone.
